[Two things was wrong when Shino woke up this morning: for one he had slept over the time he was supposed to by like ten or fifteen minutes (obv a big deal). And two, he wasn’t in his normal sleeping clothes. Instead he looked down only to be greeted by a pair of white cotton pants… very strange indeed. After getting his normal clothes on, he’ll address the journals.]

Is it… normal to awake in New Feather attire?

[As usual Shino isn't doing anything particularly interesting today. He’s just at the lovsl grocery store. And right now he’s looking through the winter melons. Now, with Shino being well-— Shino, he has to find the very most ripe winter melon out of the ones available. And right now he's down to two of them; one in each hand. He was lifting his hands up and down trying to see which one had the most proper weight to it.

But the interesting part was that while he was doing this, thousands upon thousands of tiny little itty bitty beetle bugs begin to emerge from his clothing and very slowly start to cover his body in themselves. Not that he seems to notice this however. He’s far too busy testing the weight of these winter melons to notice.]


[ ooc: SO! Shino was mallynapped and stuff guys! IN HIS SLEEP! But luckily it was only for last night. He’s returned now with a new mallynap effect: he’s going to very slowly, but surely start to lose control of his little bug friends that he keeps stored inside of his body. This is the first in a series of post about the affect actually! o/

Shino got mallynapped? Welp. So did Duke. And now Duke is back, sleeping on the floor of the grocery store. Probably near the melons. :|; Don't step on his hair. ]

I was sleeping. It couldn't have been more than-- [He starts to calculate in his mind. What time did he go to sleep>] six or seven hours.

[What would be the point in kidnapping him for such a short period of time? Usually people would be gone days or weeks or even a month after a kidnapping.]

Hmm. This is odd why is he sleeping on the floor? Normally he would just leave this guy here, but that would be something anti-social!Shino would do. Social!Shino who wants to make more allies here is going to help out. By being as not!social as possible.

He clears his throat. That should wake him up.]

That cough does wake Duke up, who sits up all pretty desu like, his long white hair FLOWING onto the dirty floor. If this were a shoujo manga, he'd also be sparkling or if he were a vampire. Is that joke old yet, by the way? I'm so behind the times. Never mind that he is a man of near forty, he would still be sparkling. ... moving on. Once Duke's up he turns to look at the one who woke him. ] ... where?

[Hmm. He might actually recognize this guy from all the journal stalking he does, but he doesn't really remember anything specific. Just kinda "oh that one guy I think I remember from the journals" kind of thing.]

[What are you doing lifting melons like that human? If you're trying to pick one out, allow her to lend a hand with a little input. One looks blatantly superior to the other, clearly his human eyes cannot tell however.]

The left one. [Her youkai eyes can't tell how ripe fruit is either.]

[Those bugs aren't really anything special right now. I mean, she knows he has control over them and what not, so seeing them crawling about is nothing amazing. Maybe this is how he checks how ripe each melon is, with his bugs...]

I couldn't tell you. They don't always seem to act with much rhyme or reason.

Unless my perception or memories were altered, I am sure. It has not been more than a maximum of seven hours.

But rarely can these effects be immediately detected. I will simply have to wait and see if they make an appearance. If there is one at all.

They are not capable of such things. Why? Because-- [Wait is there something crawling on him? ... What is his bugs doing crawling on him? He looks to be genuinely surprised at this phenomenon. They don't usually move unless he gives them a command to.

Slowly they all go back into his clothes, so no harm no foul. He hopes this was just a coincidence or a one time occurrence. Oh God is he hoping.]

There is probably a chance they already have several samples of my blood.

For now it doesn't seem as if it's an immediate problem. I will simply have to see if I will eventually notice symptoms.
